Intuitive writing workshop
What is an intuitive writing workshop?
It’s a space for exploration and breathing. You don’t have to be a writer, and above all you don’t have to be trying to create something beautiful, accurate or poetic. It’s a space we give ourselves to listen to what’s going on inside, to recreate the link between self and self, between content and form, between the organic and the material. Dare to let go, dare to write what flows through us, what inhabits us, explore our words, our impulses, our emotions. It’s the sensitive, vulnerable line that invites itself in. It can be sentences, stories, or just a word, large, small, pretty, crossed out, framed. It doesn’t matter.
It’s a space for expression, for our sensations of the world, of what wishes to be, of what is no longer, of what is joyful or wounded, of what is alive, in matter or beyond. It can speak of love or fear. It can express a moment or an eternity. Dare to put down what is there. In our being in motion.
I guide you, as best I can, to feel in your body. To navigate, to breathe. We play around a theme that I set down, but if what is put down has nothing to do with it, that’s OK. If during the workshop the body needs to get up and move, that’s OK too.
We explore how we feel. And our sensibility takes us away, in a body that stretches, in an image that comes from afar, that crosses us, that settles and then flies away. In a sensibility that has not had the space to express itself.
There aren’t really any rules, just a space. If you wish, you can share how you feel. If you like, we can share our writings, but better still, I invite you to keep them to yourself. To feel them. To read them in a low voice, or out loud when you’re with yourself, in silence.
The hand is the expression of the heart and the brain, of our fascias and our entire being. The ink that settles on the paper can become the magic thread that connects us to the invisible in all its dimensions. And reveal webs that we had not seen before.
My intention in these workshops is to experience a time of intimacy with ourselves. To connect. To see differently. To hear, perhaps, the sound of our voice daring to say, to read. During the workshop or afterwards. We follow our impulse. What’s right for us. What gives us security.
We open up the space, we connect, then we dive in. We resurface, breathe and return to the depths of our inner being. Sometimes the music comes to guide us. We learn not to censor ourselves, to go beyond the limits of the framework. Above all, not to be perfect.
The thread continues its way through our being, opening doors because we’ve told the soul there’s room for it.
